Immersion Suit / Marine Survival Suit

An immersion suit, also known as a survival suit, is a fully waterproof garment engineered to protect the wearer from hypothermia and exposure in cold water after abandoning ship or during maritime emergencies

These suits typically cover the entire body except the face, featuring:

• Integrated boots, a hood, and either built-in gloves or watertight wrist seals

• Made from materials like neoprene (synthetic rubber closed-cell foam) or reinforced polyester, offering thermal insulation and buoyanch

• Covered with SOLAS-standard retro-reflective tape for nighttime rescue visibility, and manufactured in high-visibility colors (usually red or orange)
